Korosheba: The Love of Labour

 When labor can be enjoyed, it brings success. Leaping into a task makes its accomplishment easy and the apparently impossible turns possible. People then mesmerizingly look up at him as the pioneer.

 An enlightened person benefits from the joy of labor by maximum use of his aptitude in serving the others. And by doing so he gradually surpasses anyone of his time and age.

 The Almighty has created all of us with the ability of hard work and labor. So all our achievements depend on how much work we are willing to do. The members of Quantum foundation were first revived with the concept of joy of labor and hard work in the Annual Executive Workshop of 1st-3rd May 2008. This message was also repeated in the other programs of foundation including Jalali and AKheri Doa. Thus 2 new words found their place in the quantum word list –Joy of Labor and Korosheba. The positive resonance of these two words made it possible to achieve 12 months work in just 9 months from April to December.

 Korosheba was first demonstrated in December of 2008 in Lama Pro-quanteer training program. The pro-quanteers both men and women carried thousands of bricks from “Daftaran” and the highest point in the Quantum Palli ‘Proshanto Sikhor’ to Kamrul Chattar for assisting in the construction of a new stage. Despite the labor no one was tired rather everyone was glowing with a strange happiness from the joy of working along each other and for breaking free the inhibitions. They have also carried fuel wood and heavy rocks in the korosheba programs in Lama.

After the Eid the Dhyanjatri too voluntarily engaged themselves in the korosheba for 3 days. They willingly carried heavy rocks, fuel wood and bricks from one place to another and from the ground to high peaks.

This enthusiasm continued to the first ever Korosheba in all the branch, cells and centers that took place from 25-28th December 2008. All the pro quanteers went out everyday with the joy of labor to collect the distributed charity banks from the houses of the Graduates and the associates. Collecting the old bank they distributed another new one and asked about everyone’s wellbeing and status of meditation. All these only strengthened the bonds between them. In just 4 days 1 crore taka was collected and this could happen as the honest desire combined with the blessings of the Almighty.

The participating graduates of the Korosheba not only worked continuously but participated in meditation for self development in between their work schedule. They also attended discussion session on topics like – ‘Joy of labor and service-way of success.’ ‘Secrets of nurturing aptitude: Togetherness.’ ‘Importance of following the Guru and the leader.’ and ‘Let the foundation be our first and last love’. They have also evaluated the day’s work and planned for the next day collectively.

The first korosheba program of 2009 also started with charity bank from March 26-28th. A new horizon of possibility opened up with this korosheba. The Quantum volunteers shaking off all sorts of inhibitions began to enter new areas with the message of Quantum.

The blessings of the Almighty can easily be felt with incident such as when a small child of a low income labor from the garments or a domestic worker asks for a bank for her. Some branches opened a century club where those who would be able to distribute and collect 100 banks a year can become member. These small incidents have increased the enthusiasm of the pro quanteer even further.

Usually the graduates take part in the welfare activities of the foundation but in korosheba the active participation of the associates were quite noticeable. Even such associate was there who took leave from his office just to work in the korosheba. 5-10 years old children came with their parents and worked in the korosheba.

 Apart from charity bank, korosheba now also includes many small but important social initiatives, such as school cleaning program, cleaning the water bodies, picking up banana skins, glass pieces from the road etc.

The greatest korosheba of 2009 was involving the 300th batch of Quantum Method Meditation course. Hundreds of Quantum orientation program were arranged to reach the message of Quantum among the masses. With everyone’s well intended labor, a new history was created on successful completion of the 300th batch.

 Actually, skyrocketing success is possible in both individual and national life if only labor can be turned to joy and service to contentment. Then new work opportunity will be created and the life would flow differently.
